How to choose the right Squarespace template

We covered a topic that comes up allll the time: how to choose the right Squarespace template. This is especially important for anyone who is about to build their first Squarespace website, but it’s also equally useful for anyone who’s considering switching templates.
I previously wrote a detailed blog post about Choosing the right Squarespace template so be sure to check that out if you haven’t already. However this is the first time I’ve ever done a video training on the subject so I hope you enjoy it!

Here's what we talked about in the video training:
Consider functionality and features you want your Squarespace website to have before you start browsing templates.
-Think about things like: Index pages, Gallery pages, Blog pages (meta data & post info display), Portfolios with large image displays, Social Icons (will show up differently on various templates), navigation and main/secondary menu placement, Sidebars, Footers (can have up to 3 footer sections depending on the template), etc.
Browse Squarespace's template library to see which ones catch your eye.
-Do 2 things: review demo sites that use the template AND look at examples of real live client websites using the template
Check out how the template displays on mobile or tablet - responsive design preview
What Squarespace templates do I recommend?
I recommend templates in the Brine family: Brine, Rally, Maple and Mojave are my personal favourites but honestly, most templates will work just fine! Depends on your needs and style preferences :)
