In today's video, I'm going to show you how to update and edit a banner image in Squarespace, using a demo website on the Bedford template.

It's easy to switch out the banner image and make any edits you would like but it's important to make note that the process is different for banner images than it is for images within a page or blog post (more on that in a future video).

How to update and edit banner images in Squarespace

As shown in the video above, updating and/or editing a banner image in Squarespace can be done in just a few quick steps!

Here's how to do it:

Log into your Squarespace account
Click Pages
Select the page who's banner image you wish to edit or update > click the gear icon > click Media
To switch out (update) the banner image, click Remove and then upload your new image. Reposition the image by using the "focus" point
To edit the banner image, click Edit and edit your desired settings
Click save and refresh page

See? Easy as pie!

Updating or editing the banner image on your Squarespace website only takes a few minutes but it packs a major punch. Whenever you have created or are maintaining a website, you want to make sure that it is customized and reflects your business or brand. Images are one of the most important aspects of this process, since they're one of the first things a visitor sees on your website, so this is one step you don't want to miss.
