Here's how Sarah pitched and booked thousands of dollars of her web design services with just 1 email!

GATHER ROUND HUNNIS because I’m back with another humble brag here - can’t help but share my customers’ wins! With news this good, do you really think I’d keep it to myself? LOL not a chance, I’ve got to share it :)

If you’ve been following this space or keeping up with me on Instagram, you might remember that I recently launched Pitching your Web Design & Development Services. It’s a digital product that teaches web designers & developers how to pitch their services through a 22-page How-To Guide, customizable email templates, and a tracker spreadsheet to organize their pitch process.

It’s been flying of the figurative shelves since then and I have been THRILLED to hear all the (seriously impressive) results that are already rolling in! Nothing makes me happier than people purchasing my products and getting fantastic results from them. I work very hard to create high quality, useful resources for my audience (through both free and paid content) and when this particular email landed in my inbox, I nearly fell off my chair with excitement.

I previously shared Mariana’s story about how she pitched & booked $6700 worth of her services in just 4 days (so impressive - seriously, go check out that blog post if you haven’t already).

But the wins don’t stop there - another one of my clients, Sarah, also had amazing results using my Pitching Guide so I’m going to share that story with you too!

So, let’s all take a moment to congratulate Sarah and celebrate her story because her results are so impressive and I’m bursting with pride! If she can do it, so can you.

5 things I do so that every email newsletter I send performs WAY higher than industry average

Gather round hunnis, I’m about to drop some serious insider info and share a behind the scenes look at my biz numbers!

If you’ve ever wanted to creep my stats or see how another business owner approaches online marketing, then this is the blog post for you. I’ve got screenshots galore, pulled right from the back end of my email marketing platform.

Many people/businesses keep these numbers private (which is 100% fine and totally normal) but I’m all about being transparent and sharing this sort of information with my audience!

Disclaimer: I’m not an email marketing wizard or anything - far from it, actually - but I must be doing something right because my email newsletters consistently and dependably out-perform industry averages.

Also, it goes without saying that I’m not writing this blog post to pump my ego, to brag or show off for vanity reasons , duhhhhh!

Instead, I’m getting vulnerable and putting myself & my numbers out there for scrutiny in this area because online business (specifically web design/development and SEO consulting) is a relatively new career path and we’re all still trying to figure out how to do it successfully.

Think about it: many of us are solopreneurs or we run small businesses/teams, and there just aren’t that many opportunities to see how we compare to our peers, or have a benchmark to aim for if we’re still starting out - let alone know what’s normal and how our own numbers stack up!

So pull up a seat, pour yourself a glass of whatever tickles your fancy, and let’s dive right in!

My experience as a digital nomad in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Hey gang! I felt like doing something a little different with today’s blog post - no tech talk here :)

I was bumming around on my phone last night, scrolling through old pics, and I came across all my photos from my trip to Cambodia in June 2018. I realized that I haven’t properly written about my experience as a “Digital Nomad” in Phnom Penh but it’s something that you might find interesting.

You can read a brief summary of my stint in Phnom Penh (PP) in my June 2018 recap blog post but I’m going into much more detail here!

So without further ado, let me tell you all about it! Fill up your cup, grab a seat, and let’s chat about this pretty fun experience!

Why we chose Squarespace for our website - Guest Episode on the Online Business Besties Podcast

Hi hunnis, wanted to let you know that I’m baaaaaaack for another guest episode on the Online Business Besties podcast, hosted by my own biz bestie Paige Brunton!

You might remember that I was actually Paige’s first guest on her Online Business Besties podcast (Episode 002). That episode is called “Working online & traveling Q+A for aspiring digital nomads” and you can listen to it here.

You can also watch the Instagram Live Q&A we did over a few weeks ago, obvi fueled by wine. Needless to say, we love to talk and hit record at the same time :)

Annnnnyways, we always have so much fun collaborating together and I was thrilled that Paige asked me back again on the podcast so soon!

We recorded this episode in-person in early August when we were both back in Toronto, Canada and had a blast talking about websites and reviewing Squarespace’s platform… who knew tech talk could be so much fun?!

This conversation is packed full of practical information, as well as insights into our own work as Squarespace web designers/developers, and I know you’ll get a kick out of listening to the two of us shoot the sh*t while still delivering a value-packed conversation.
